I was introduced to Phoenix through a mutual friend as I was looking for a local charity who could help with running the door at my boxing events and, in return, raise decent sums in donations on the night. This works very successfully for both parties. The more I got to know Phoenix, the better the understanding I got of the brilliant work Phoenix does for their people and the huge contribution they make to the local community.
I was then approached and asked if I would like to join as a Trustee, I jumped at the chance. Having been in business in the Swindon area for my entire career, it was a brilliant opportunity for me to give something back. Although, like all charities, Phoenix has its challenges and demands, I am delighted to be involved and contribute to this wonderful charity.
